St. Petersburg, FL — Palms of Pasadena Hospital announces the appointment of Colleen Thielk as Chief Nursing Officer. Prior to accepting this position, Ms. Thielk served as Assistant Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Critical Care Services at Brandon Regional Hospital, Brandon, Florida.

She has 20 years of clinical experience and has held managerial positions since 2006. Her past experience includes the position of Chief Clinical Officer at Restora Hospital of Sun City, Arizona, Interim Assistant Chief Nursing Officer of ICU, Hospital Supervisors and Interventional Radiology Nurses at Phoenix Baptist Hospital, Phoenix, Arizona and Director of Medical-Surgical, ICU, and Hospital Supervisors at Valley West Community Hospital, Sandwich, Illinois.

Ms. Thielk earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Millikin University, Decatur, Illinois, and a Masters of Science of Nursing and Masters of Business Administration from Lewis University, Romeoville, Illinois. She is currently studying for her Doctorate of Nursing degree.

She is a member of the Florida Center for Nursing-Florida Action Coalition, the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Florida Organization of Nurse Executives and the Tampa Bay Organization of Nurse Executives. Ms. Thielk is also an advisory board member for the Brandon YMCA, an Advocacy Team Leader for the Florida Action Coalition and sits on the professional advisory committee of Galen College of Nursing.
