Dr. Pagano is an Orthopaedic Spine specialist whose practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of all disorders of the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine. Specific interests include adult deformity, minimally invasive spinal fusions, tumor resection and reconstruction, trauma and disc replacement surgery. Dr. Pagano is a native of the Youngstown, Ohio area where he practiced Orthopaedic spine surgery for the past 13 years. He recently relocated to the St. Petersburg area with his family, bringing with him years of clinical and surgical experience. Dr. Pagano received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1991 and received his degree in medicine, alongside Dr Alexander, at The Ohio State University in 1995. Dr. Pagano completed his internship and orthopaedic residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 2000, where he was the Chief Administrative Resident. While in his residency, he was also awarded the Richards & Lecco Ilizarov Fellowship in Lecco, Italy and the Peterson resident of the year award. Following his residency, Dr. Pagano performed a two part Orthopaedic Spine fellowship with Dr. Richard Holt in Louisville, Kentucky and with the late Dr. Thomas Whitecloud at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Pagano is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The North American Spine Society and the American Medical Association. Dr. Pagano continues to use his engineering and medical expertise as an active medical consultant and surgeon instructor. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Pagano also holds patents in the field of spine surgery and has co-authored multiple articles in the field of Orthopaedics.
